About Tania

Tania Tyler, Reiki Master / Teacher

Tania Tyler | Reiki Master / Teacher Practitioner Mystic CT (Ledyard)Hello, I’m Tania Tyler, a Reiki Master / Teacher,  herbalist and owner of Mystic Zen Healing Jewelry. I have been a Reiki Master/Teacher since 2005.

I opened the Secret Garden Healing Oasis with the intention to provide a place for guidance, education and healing so that we may all find and empower our true Self.

I left the corporate world (programming & consulting) to chase dreams and to live a life with deeper meaning. Paths change and lead to new adventures. I started an herbal products business which I closed May 2008 to concentrate more on my healing practice and classes. It’s a wonderful feeling to be a catalyst for an individual’s healing and growth, to share the excitement and wonder as we explore something new. I have learned and experienced much from helping others.

I try to walk my path with love, gratitude and compassion, feeling the interconnectedness and sacredness of all.

“People say that what we’re seeking is a meaning for life. I think that what we’re really seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experience on the purely physical plane will have resonance within our innermost being and reality, so that we can actually feel the rapture of being alive.”    ~Joseph Campbell

I have taught workshops in herbal & natural healing and have been a guest speaker for the Rotary Club, Mystic Chamber of Commerce, and local garden clubs. I am a published author of herbal articles and co-author of “Herbal Tea Remedies” published by Running Press.

I am a Reiki Master/Teacher and Practitioner. I was a Reiki volunteer at the Wm. W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT through the Center for Healthcare Integration (Chi) Program.

My life’s journey is in helping others to discover pieces of who they are, to notice the beauty in the small things, to be thankful for the challenges and lessons which allow for their personal growth, and to always be true to themselves; all which promote a state of well-being, health and wholeness. I come from a line of healers, my great grandmother was the healer of her village in Poland and it continued with her relocation to Pennsylvania. I grew up taking long walks with my great grandfather pointing out all the various local plants and their medicinal uses. And continued with my grandmother’s gardening and folklore knowledge.

Hi Tania, I hope you don’t mind, we had to write a brief profile of a person we consider a leader of some sort in our lives, and share it with the class. This is what I wrote: Just wanted to share it with you.

Tania, my Reiki Master is a wonderful leader. She cares deeply about sharing Reiki with all in our Reiki circle, her clients, her students, all that come into contact with her, everyone, everything, including the plants and animals. She shows us how to incorporate the Reiki Principles into our lives on a daily basis, she lives these principals as well:

Just for today, do not worry Just for today, do not anger Honor your parents, teachers, and elders Earn your living honestly Show gratitude for every living thing

Tania inspires each person in her circle to follow her lead and to find their own dreams and passions, to grow towards their full potential on their spiritual journey, which ever path it may take. She instills that sacred trust in people that come into her life through her guidance, knowledge, gentleness, caring, compassion, and her passion for what she does and what she sees in all of us. She has the greatest of respect for us and our journeys, and is honored to be able to share what she has to offer.

We should all have a Tania in our lives. JP
